Bringing U.S. Semiconductor Manufacturing Back

Varionyx is launching the first agile, secure 90nm foundry in America—purpose-built for defense, automotive, and industrial resilience.

01

Our Mission

To restore U.S. semiconductor independence by manufacturing secure, mid-volume 90nm chips—enabling critical industries to innovate without relying on overseas fabs.

02

What We Envision

01

Precision at the Right Scale

A 90nm semiconductor foundry purpose-built for America's real-world needs, focused exclusively on 200mm wafer production at mature nodes. Optimized for mid-volume, high-mix output, we serve industries where reliability, longevity, and supply chain security matter.

02

Built for Flexibility and Security

A pure-play U.S. foundry with no internal IP or fabless business lines ensuring zero conflict of interest and full customer trust. Our infrastructure is secure by design, built to meet ITAR and DoD requirements. Aligned with CHIPS Act priorities, the facility features air-gapped development protocols and a trust-first architecture.

03

Fast Start, Scalable Future

Designed for capital efficiency and scalable growth, launching with an initial capacity of 5,000 wafers per month. Our modular cleanroom and equipment strategy allows us to expand in phases as demand grows. We begin with multi-project wafer (MPW) services to engage startups, universities, and DoD labs building early traction before transitioning to full-volume production.

03

Why Now?

01

98% Global Product is Offshore

Less than 2% of global 90nm semiconductor manufacturing takes place in the United States, leaving critical sectors exposed to offshore bottlenecks.

02

CHIPS Act

The CHIPS Act provides unprecedented incentives to scale domestic manufacturing, enabling projects like Varionyx to close key national security gaps.

03

Foundries Are Abandoning Mature Nodes

Leading foundries like TSMC and UMC are shifting investment to sub-28nm technologies, leaving 90nm customers under-served and deprioritized.

04

New Foundries Can Scale Smarter

Thanks to modular cleanroom design, advanced automation, and CHIPS Act support, new entrants like Varionyx can achieve cost-effective, right-sized production that legacy fabs cannot match.
